- It was Friday afternoon and a colleague came with a princess cake for us to celebrate at work. Not everyone ate, but we were some who cut in, says Adam Randle, who works at the consulting firm Great.

The cake tasted good and no harm, the colleagues wished each other a nice weekend.

Only on Saturday did Adam Randle start to feel bad.

- It only changed for half an hour and I began to feel tired and hungry. I was on my way to a friend but had to turn around because I had to vomit.

"I don't have a great deal of experience of being sick, but it's the worst thing I've ever had," says Adam, who vomited all night and night.

Manfall in the office

On Sunday, Adam Randle stopped vomiting, but he was still hungry.

Of the six people who ate from the cake, everyone has fallen ill and been home from work during Monday and Tuesday.

- I was home last Monday and have been home today, but now I'm on my way to work to start cautiously during the afternoon.

"Important to find out the cause"

In total, up to 50 Örebroers who have eaten pastries from the same bakery have suffered from stomach ailments. Both the municipality and the infection protection unit at USÖ are now trying to track the infection and a piece of cake has been sent for analysis.

- It is important to deal with what it is for something, as so many have been affected. It is not certain that it is the bakery's fault, so it is important that it is sorted out so that they do not receive negative publicity incorrectly, says Adam Randle.

Will you be able to eat cake in the future?

- Yes, I will. It will probably be a natural defense in the beginning and you will probably react. But it should probably go well eventually.
