Three women have been injured when each one received a rudimentary explosive package in various parts of Rome and the authorities are already investigating the motive and the author of the event, according to local media on Monday.
The first explosion took place Sunday night at the Fiumicino post center and one of the workers was injured with burns on her hands and legs, newspaper La Repubblica reports in its digital edition.
The second explosion affected a 57-year-old woman who opened a package Monday she had just received at her own house in the Roman neighborhood of Salario.
The last event occurred at almost the same time in the Trionfale neighborhood, with the explosion of a third package that caused burns on the arms and face of a third woman, 58.
The rudimentary explosives went inside regularly sealed mail envelopes and did not contain any messages , the Il Messaggero newspaper collects .
The authorities have begun to investigate these three events to reveal the authorship of the attack and its mobile and understand if they are linked, according to the same sources.
