The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested the three men of 33, 32 and 28 years old on February 29, of Honduran, Ecuadorian and Spanish nationality, for raping a woman in a car parked on a street in the Eixample district of Barcelona.
A pedestrian witnessed the sexual assault about six o'clock in the morning and alerted the police, so the rapid police action allowed the officers to detain two of the suspects outside the vehicle and another inside. The victim was in a state of semi-unconsciousness so she was taken to the hospital following the activation protocol for sexual crimes. Hours later he filed the corresponding complaint.
The witness's statement and the search of the suspects allowed the police to discover that the detainees would have taken photos and videos while raping the victim, and that the phone had been stolen. That is why they are also charged with the crimes of revealing secrets and theft, in addition to sexual assault. The suspects have gone to court.
