In 2017, Region Västmanland started the pilot project on the new working method, which involves the midwives asking questions to all pregnant women about mental health, on several occasions during pregnancy.
- Although the work situation is under pressure on many midwives, I believe that we serve in this way of work in a timely manner, that we prevent many visits to unrest that arise otherwise, says Hanna Linder, midwife.
Now all the county's 25 midwives will work with the new working method.
