“Attackers call credit organizations and, on behalf of the management of a unit of the central office of Rosfinmonitoring or its territorial body, require confidential information,” Rosfinmonitoring said.

Fraudsters, among other things, require credit organizations to provide them with passport data and bank card numbers.

Cases have also been recorded where cybercriminals request information to be provided to provide an email address to which malicious software can be sent.
