US Vice President Mike Pence said that within six weeks, his country will begin laboratory experiments on a vaccine to treat the Corona virus, but he ruled out preparing the vaccine this season.

Pence added in an interview with the American Fox News Channel within the "Sunday Morning" program that the administration is working with companies and researchers to find a cure for the virus that appeared in China last December and spread to sixty countries and has so far caused the death of nearly Three thousand people and injuring 87 thousand others.

In response to a question about the possibility of a large spread of the virus in the United States, which leads to the infection of tens of thousands of Americans, the American Vice President replied that his country is the most country in the world ready for this situation.

Pence acknowledged that the number of HIV infections in the United States could rise, but he was optimistic that the spread of the disease would be contained.

In this context, he pointed to the examination of 47 thousand people in American airports, as well as the restrictions taken by the administration of President Donald Trump to avoid the transmission of the virus from outbreaking countries such as China, South Korea and Iran.

Washington has begun discussing how to reduce dependence on drug imports from China, and talked about steps the Trump administration has taken to tackle the Corona virus, including producing large quantities of protective masks, the US vice president said.

Pence rejected the accusation that potential Democratic candidate for the upcoming US presidential election, Bernie Sanders, would be ineligible to lead the efforts to tackle the spread of Corona.
