Yesterday, the Ministry of Education announced the opening of registration and transfer in government schools for citizens, expatriates, and people of determination, for the next academic year 2020-2021.

The age of admission in kindergarten is set at four years for the first kindergarten and five years for the second kindergarten. Whereas, the age limit for admission was determined for the first year of the age of six and did not exceed eight on December 31, 2020.

The Ministry restricted the registration in the kindergarten stage to citizens and children of female citizens (registration summary campaign), while it allowed registration in the first grade for five categories that included citizens, children of citizens (registration summary campaign), and those in the rule of citizens (students with valid UAE passports) and citizens Gulf Cooperation Council, and the children of diplomats (holders of diplomatic card).

The Ministry allowed registration in grades two to 12 for eight categories, including citizens, children of female citizens (registration summary holders), citizens of the same ruling (students with valid UAE passports), citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and children of diplomats (holders of the diplomatic card), and children of The owners of the decrees, and the children of the Comoros, in addition to the non-national students, according to the terms and conditions.

The Ministry indicated that school enrollment will be for three days per week (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday), from 08:30 in the morning until 12:30 in the first, second and third cycle schools. From 08:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. for kindergarten.

She pointed out that the mechanism for registering citizen students and their equivalents will be via the electronic link, or visiting government schools that follow the residential domain, while registering non-citizen students will be limited to registration via the electronic link on the Ministry's official website.

The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to the registration of students with an identity card only, and that registration be available to students within the legal age and those who meet the conditions, and that students should not be accepted as listeners in kindergarten or school, provided that the school or kindergarten administration is obligated to register directly on the Al-Manhal system, and not to allow students to attend school At the beginning of the school year, only after ensuring that the student’s file is approved by the Ministry, and that all his supporting documents are available.

She stressed the necessity for kindergartens and government schools to accept new students according to the distribution of residential areas. It asked all school administrations to commit to receiving citizens' students and the like and to take the necessary action in the event that conditions are met, by registering directly in the Al-Manhal system, or in electronic waiting lists in the absence of vacancies.

The Ministry noted the acceptance of distinguished non-citizen students in general education schools from grades 2 to 12, after submitting applications for registration on the website, provided that the percentage of student grades is not less than 85% in the subjects of Arabic language, English language, and mathematics, and not The number of admitted students exceeds 20% of the number of students in the school, and over the same percentage of students from the same branch in the school.

She pointed to the collection of tuition fees from non-national students admitted to government education schools, at a rate of 6000 dirhams for the school year, according to the decisions and regulations in effect. The parent must also sign a commitment to pay the tuition fee in full on time.

Registration of owners of determination

The Ministry of Education indicated that registration of students with determination will be completed by filling out a request to transfer a new student to the “Hamm for Inclusive Education Services” centers, so that an initial seat is reserved for him in the school or kindergarten, and the attached application is approved by the school administration, and submitted to the “Hamm” affiliated centers Its for evaluation and diagnosis.

The Ministry indicated that an appointment be made to evaluate and diagnose the student from the “HUMM” centers from the special education team to determine his needs and his candidacy for inclusion.

Priority will be for students of determination to attend the nearest kindergarten or school of residence, according to the geographical distribution of the approved residential areas.

The student will not be registered and enrolled permanently in the school with the integration education programs, unless after adopting a report of his candidacy for inclusion from the special education team in the "Hmm" centers.
