The La Thuile combined, counting for the Ladies Alpine Skiing World Cup, was canceled on Sunday due to the heavy snowfall, and will not be rescheduled, the International Federation (FIS) announced.

"Due to the heavy snowfall and the significant amount of snow on the track, the La Thuile alpine combined scheduled for today is canceled and will not be reprogrammed," said FIS.

With this cancellation and the cancellation of the races in Ofterschwang, Germany, next week, there are only seven races left on the program by the end of the season: three events (parallel slalom, giant slalom and slalom) in Are in Sweden, and four events for the finals at Cortina d'Ampezzo (downhill, super-G, slalom, giant slalom) in Italy.

Italian Federica Brignone leads the general classification with 153 points ahead of American Mikaela Shiffrin, triple defender of the big crystal globe but absent from the slopes since the sudden death of her father Jeff (65) on February 3 . The Slovakian Petra Vlhova is 189 points behind the Transalpine.
