The Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi issued a circular to private schools in the emirate, under the title "Important Health and Safety Warning", with the aim of introducing preventive measures to ensure a healthy environment in schools to prevent corona virus, while private schools in Abu Dhabi began inquiring about travel of students and their families, during the past month .

Schools sent letters to the students ’families, inviting them to provide information about their travel history in the last 28 days, stressing the need to inform in the future, regularly, in the event of travel.

In detail, schools required students with students to fill out a standard form if the student or a relative of his visited seven countries during the recent period, including: China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Singapore and Italy, with the date of return and return mentioned.

She noted that this measure is in accordance with the Corona Virus Prevention Policy, with the aim of ensuring the safety and well-being of school students.

The Education and Knowledge Department confirmed that it directed workers, students and their relatives, who are finally returning from China, and any countries where the virus is spreading, to stay in their homes for 14 days, to undergo the necessary tests before returning to school.

She stressed, in a circular, the intensification of efforts to clean and sterilize school buses frequently, using appropriate cleaning materials, and suspending the work of nurseries temporarily to protect children, given the possibility of not tolerating the impact of chemicals used in the current strict hygiene procedures.

She pointed to directing schools to suspend local and international school trips, events and conferences, which require the gathering of students and teachers, to reduce the chances of transmission, suspending all swimming activities, stopping the morning queue, and dividing students out for rest and between classes, to reduce congestion and contact with as much as possible, in addition to not allowing Students and teachers who have symptoms displaying sickness remain in school to reduce the risk of infection, commit to raising hygiene and imposing regular cleaning and disinfection procedures inside schools.

The department called on the families of students to urge children and family members to wash hands with soap and water regularly, as this is one of the most effective measures, and the need to keep the child who suffers from symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty breathing, and to get medical advice until he is allowed to return to school.
