The woman, who was to give birth to her first child, received pregnancy poisoning and the fetus showed signs of stress. According to the Inspectorate for Health and Care, IVO, a decision on caesarean section at this stage would have been correct but instead the doctor decides to order infusion into the amniotic fluid, a method that is not widely accepted.

This caused the delivery to be delayed and only three hours later an emergency caesarean section was made. The woman had a negative childbirth experience and the child was exposed to an uncontrolled risk, writes IVO in her decision which the News Agency Siren took note of.

The child was then found to have brain haemorrhage and a cp injury, but according to IVO it is not possible to say whether it is due to childbirth or not.

The doctor also receives criticism for not having recorded correctly during childbirth.
