Virus, European stock exchanges in deep red

9.38 European markets open with heavy falls, with investors worried about the spread of coronavirus worldwide, and in the negative wake of Wall Street and Asiatics. In Piazza Affari, the Ftse Mib scores -3.15% at 22,058 points. The German BTP-Bund spread jumped to 177 points at the start (yesterday it closed at 161) and the yield of the Italian 10-year jumped to 1.16%. London sold 3%, Paris 3.36% and Frankfurt 3.85%.
