A thief found himself with a dead body as a passenger in the SUV he had just stolen from a church in California on Wednesday. The vehicle was left with the engine running in front of a Los Angeles church while the driver landed another body, said Los Angeles County Police Officer Grace Medrano. However, a second body remained in the SUV at the time of the flight.
In a message posted on Twitter, the sheriff's office called on the suspect to return the body. He was finally arrested Thursday morning after a chase that ended in a highway accident, the SUV colliding with another car. The stolen body was still in the vehicle, authorities said.
