Drugs, then prostitution

"There has been an accumulation of events that have led to a break between my body and my mind. Rape on the day of my 15th birthday meant that I no longer valued my body. where the descent into hell began, "she says. Nina then begins to smoke and take drugs, first soft, then hard.

"It was a young man who supplied me with cannabis initially. I had been running away for a few days, so I asked him what I could do to earn money. He told me 'apart from doing tapin, I don't see what else you can do '. I went to see his partner, and I had to sleep with the two men to' test the goods', as they said ".

Father sees daughter on escort site

Quickly, his father worried about his daughter. "We saw a radical change in Nina, first in her academic results. Then after that it was running away, an impossibility of communicating," he laments. After she has run away for the umpteenth time, the father types her daughter's phone number on a search engine. "She was on the run, we didn't know where she was. And there, the first sites that appear are escort sites. It's a huge shock."

With his wife, Thierry Delcroix then goes in search of Nina. "We went to see the manners brigade, but the procedure was very long. Twice, out of about fifteen runaways, the police went to get her right away. During the longest runaway, for four months, we had absolutely no news from Nina. "

"The whole thing is to want to fight to get out of it"

For a while, the teenager sinks into this hellish spiral. "At first, I told myself that my shoulders were strong enough to take it all in. Over time, leaving your body to strangers, you leave a part of yourself. I was fully aware of this. self destruction ". But one day, Nina is exhausted and calls for help. "It was a voice message, one evening in a park where I was found in hypothermia. I said, 'Dad, come and get me'," she recalls with emotion.

Today, the young woman is rebuilding herself, surrounded by her family. "It's going very well, we have rebuilt the family cocoon that we had lost because of this ordeal. The storm has passed, the sun has returned. Today I integrate it completely into my past, it's not a shame to have done that. The whole thing is to want to fight to get by. We deserve so much better than being reduced to objects. We have to talk about it. "
