Syria: After their viral video, a new life in Turkey for little Salwa and her father - 20 Minutes
Salwa continues to laugh but no longer hears the bombs. The three-year-old girl who lived in Idleb, Syria, had moved millions of Internet users. In a video posted by his father Abdullah Al-Mohammad, he taught the little girl to laugh every time she heard a bomb. The goal: to change his ideas.
Since then, the Turkish authorities have contacted Abdullah Al-Mohammad to bring them to the country. On February 26, the girl arrived on Turkish soil with her family.
The Idleb region has been the target of almost daily bombing for almost a year. The war in Syria has killed 380,000 people since 2011.
