The Sharjah Charity Association confirmed that it is doing assistance to a destitute elderly woman and her daughter after their seventieth family (accused of leading a gang that has been involved in smuggling the largest amount of Captagon drug) for decades, abandoned them, which made them worthy of assistance, and after making sure of their legal and social status.

The Association praised the efforts of the police authorities in the country that protect society from pests and toxins around the clock.

The association affirms its keenness to reach donations to those who deserve them through documentation, and in several stages, with the various stakeholders concerned with the entitlement of beneficiaries of aid, and that the special committees conduct visits to eligible families, before approving aid and after granting it periodically.

She pointed out that one of the most important sections of goodness is the family of detainees and prisoners, as families of course do not have the guilt of the absence of their breadwinners for any reason, and in many cases the poverty and want of the family meet with the delusion and disadvantages of their families.

The association calls upon the citizens of the state and the users of the means of communication to investigate the accuracy of reporting the news, and not to take any information except from its reliable source, in order to preserve the reputation of the state and the credibility of its institutions, in order to ensure the smoothness and flow of charitable work and not to be interrupted or affected by any misleading accounts.

She pointed out that the media team of the Sharjah Charity Society followed the news that recently spread through social media, and that the association was involved in a misleading manner, and inaccurate in some news related to receiving the association's assistance to those who do not deserve it.
