Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, repeatedly emphasized that the issue of Crimea was closed to Moscow.
He noted that Russia held a referendum in Crimea in strict accordance with international law, with the Charter of the United Nations.
Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
