The preliminary figures for the financial year 2019 indicate a negative result for Valfjället of SEK 1 million and for 2020 the budget must now be revised.

- It will be a bad year in 2020, so I can count, says Bertil Börjeson.

Only two slopes open

It is the bad winter that is the cause of the million deficit, according to Bertil Börjeson. The slopes have only partially been open this winter and now during the sports holiday two slopes are open.

- The situation is not the best, it has been a harsh winter. No good start and it has not continued well this year either, he says.

Municipality-owned Valfjället has reported negative results for several years. The budget for 2019 and 2020 was a zero result. But it will not be achievable.

"Must have cost"

Johanna Söderberg (C), who is a municipal council in Eda, says that she believes in the plant after all.

- Outdoor activities and leisure activities must cost. I do not think that we can have any outdoor facility that supports itself, says Johanna Söderberg.

So what do you think about the future?

- I think Valfjället has a future.
