The party has submitted a motion to the regional council where it wants politicians to decide to investigate the possibilities.
Currently, there are seven university hospitals in the country and if Växjö is added to these, it could, among other things, lead to more jobs in research.
In May last year, the regional council pushed through the construction of a brand new hospital in the Räppe district. Planning work has begun and the new hospital is expected to be ready by 2027.
