On Tuesday, the United States imposed sanctions on 13 entities and individuals in China, Iraq, Russia and Turkey, pursuant to the nuclear non-proliferation law in Iran, North Korea and Syria.

A statement by the US State Department said that the sanctions affected five entities in China and another in Turkey because of their support for the Iranian missile program, and also included one Chinese named Lu Dingwen, who is also involved in providing sensitive materials for the Pakistani weapons program.

The statement did not provide any other details about the remaining entities and individuals who have been sanctioned.

The sanctions include imposing restrictions on US support for those actors and reducing US exports to them.

The State Department statement said that the sanctions aim to prevent Iran from developing its missile capabilities, saying that "the Iranian missile program remains a major concern of the proliferation of weapons."
