Patients hospitalized in Paris, Amiens, Rhône-Alpes and Strasbourg

In terms of proven cases, the man who died on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, a 60-year-old teacher, was hospitalized at La Pitié-Salpétrière, in Paris. It is also in the capital that a young Chinese woman is treated, who shows no signs of seriousness. The other three French patients are hospitalized in the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region, Amiens and Strasbourg.

Containment cases are everywhere. You just have to browse the regional daily press to realize this. The latest example concerns a hotel in Beaune, in the Côte d'Or, where 30 people are placed in solitary confinement pending the results of analyzes, after the death of a Hong Konger.

The most frequent case in this regard is obviously that in which a person is identified as returning from a risk zone, Asia or Italy. On Tuesday, it was in Courbevoie that the authorities were worried about the state of health of five high school students returning from Lombardy. They were taken care of at the Pitié-Salpétrière hospital in Paris but all the tests came back negative on Wednesday morning.

Children invited to stay at home throughout the territory

In schools, we are starting to react everywhere on the territory. This is an instruction from the French Ministry of Education: a message is sent to parents via the liaison diaries, asking those whose children return from Italy to leave them at least 14 days at home, limiting activities and contacts with fragile people. If an exit is necessary, you must wear a mask.

All the stake then resides in the responsibility of the potential patients. More and more people are coming to be tested themselves in the hospital. There are also people who decide to put themselves in confinement: the Dépêche du midi cites the case of a mother from Tarn, returning from a cruise in Italy with her children. Surprised upon her return not to be placed in quarantine, she isolated herself with her son and daughter, by agreeing with her employer to tele-work.
