February 26, 2020 The high pressure on our country is about to give way to a disturbance arriving from the North Atlantic. The forecasts are from the team of the website www.iLMeteo.it.

From Friday, two disturbances will mainly affect the Center-South (Tyrrhenian sector) with rain and snow on the Apennines above 1000 meters. Attention, however, is concentrated at the end of the seventh when a more intense disturbance will affect the North and part of the Center.

Saturday will start with the sun in all regions, from the afternoon instead we will see a rapid worsening of the weather with increasing clouds in the North and in Tuscany and first rains in the Northwest.

On Sunday the disturbance will arrive throughout the North, in Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. Rainfall over Lombardy and the Northeast, while the snow will fall abundantly in the Alps starting from around 800 meters. This rapid change in the weather will pave the way for a worsening wave expected on Monday, Tuesday and which will gradually affect all of Italy

For strong winds, meanwhile, the links with the Pontine Islands between Formia, Ventotene and Ponza have been eliminated. Those with the island of Elba are also suspended.

A yellow alert notice for Puglia has been issued by the regional section of Civil Protection. Strong winds or south-westerly winds are expected starting from two in the afternoon today and for the next 16-20 hours. There are also storms along the exposed coasts. The Civil Protection advises attention and caution to driving.
