In his letter, Wolf von Fichtenberg expressed gratitude to the entire Soviet people for the victory over Nazi Germany.

“I am very glad that they realized the role that our Soviet army played in liberating Germany, liberating the whole West, all Western countries. Especially now, when there is such a lie, distortion. What a distortion of our monuments, the overthrow, the destruction! In Poland, especially ... among the Poles, whom we freed. I, who was passing Poland — past Warsaw, past Danzig — saw all this, saw how our units were advancing, how everything was done by Russian, Soviet soldiers. And now it’s distorted, everything is turned over to confront the Russians, ”said Konstantin Fedorovich.

Anna Georgievna, after reading the letter, said that then she taught German and remembers: there was no enmity.

“The people are Russian and German - we have always been friends. And even more so, I still taught German, all this is close to me somehow ... There has never been any enmity. And all the more I was a teacher, taught [children] of different nationalities, and for me there was no difference at all - you are Russian, German, Ukrainian ... I was all friendly in the class: there were never any reproaches, no troubles on the issue of nationality ” - explained Teryokhina.

The head of the Federation Council committee on international affairs, Konstantin Kosachev, also commented on a letter sent by the German writer Wolf von Fichtenberg to the editorial office of the television channel as part of the project #Post-Victory. According to the parliamentarian, it is very important that such letters appear.
