Andras has worked in the industry during his professional life, including on paper use and Halmstad's ironworks. He had sent in all the papers well in advance of the pension, although he was informed that the pension authority should investigate whether he receives pension from another country, since he came to Sweden in the 70s when several Swedish companies applied for work abroad.

The investigation would mean that Andras will not receive any money in three months.

When he turned to the authorities to find out what he would do, he was sent to social authorities. But Andras refused to go there.

- I've worked in this country for 42 years, so I deserve my pension, he says.

Too old for the employment office

On his 65th birthday he instead walked to the employment office in Halmstad to enroll as a job seeker, but there he got the answer that he is too old.

After SVT contacted the pension authority, they found Andrew's case and found that something had gone wrong and that the case should now be handled.

Do you have to go through media to get your pension?

"No it's not, we have many applications that we need to handle, they work really hard," says Johan Andersson, the Swedish Press Agency's press secretary.
