Large variety of supply between Västerbotten's cultural schools

According to figures from the Siren News Agency, the cultural schools in Västerbotten differ in the number of subjects offered. The cultural school in Skellefteå offers, among other things, music, dance and storytelling, but the cultural school in Vindeln only has music.

- It is up to the municipalities themselves if they want to invest in a cultural school. We are in a coordinating role and for dialogues with all municipal representatives about the importance of culture and aesthetic issues being on the agenda, says Nina Björby (S).

- I particularly want to highlight what has been done in Sorsele, where you have just invested in a cultural school, among other things, to make people stay in the municipality, move to the municipality and create a good society.
