Several Karlstad residents, connected to the municipal water and wastewater system, have during the last six months received calls from a company that requires to come and get a wastewater treatment. The company calls itself from Karlstad Municipality and says it wants to make a home visit.
From the municipality they now go out and warn of the scams.
On their website, the municipality writes that they never require a property owner to flush their sewerage system and urge those affected to double-check the information with the municipality and to report to the police if such a call is received.
