Melania Trump participated in a happiness class at a school in New Delhi today, Tuesday, while her husband, US President Donald Trump, was holding talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Indian capital.

The New Delhi government approved the curriculum for happiness in all government schools in July 2018.
The curriculum focuses on meditation, ethical teachings, mental exercises and activities, such as: story telling and art, as well as talking about heroism, with the aim of students learning how to be good individuals.

Melania visited a government school for girls in southern Delhi.

Melania, who wore a white dress with pink patterns, attended an interactive session, sat in a small green chair, and chatted with teachers and students while they were drawing and coloring. Melania watched performances of traditional Indian dance and yoga.

"I can't think of a better way to start our day," Melania told the students.

It is noteworthy that the happiness curriculum is taught for 45 minutes in Delhi schools every day, where the session begins with meditation for five minutes, followed by activities.

The Prime Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, wrote a tweet in which he said: “A wonderful day for our teachers, students, and citizens of Delhi.” For centuries, he added, India has taught spirituality to the world. "I am happy that Melania Trump will bring with her the message of happiness from our schools."
