February 25, 2020 Hosni Mubarak, president of Egypt for 30 years, died from the age of 91 from 1981 to 2011, forced to resign following the "Arab Spring" street protests in 2011. According to Egyptian media Mubarak was hospitalized in intensive care for about a month. Her health had deteriorated in the past few days.

Mubarak served a few years in prison after his fall, but was released in 2017 after being cleared of most of the charges.
