A large school of gastronomy in Rouen for 800 students. This is the major project announced by the house of Fauchon during a press conference at the Hotel de Région de Seine-Maritime, reports 76actu. A homecoming for the luxury caterer of Norman origin.

By 2021, 800 students specializing in the culinary arts will study in 5,000 m2 of buildings on the left bank of Rouen. The future school will offer training in food trades and will be close to the national bakery and pastry institute, according to Fauchon.

Transmitting know-how

To develop the programs of this “excellence” school, the Fauchon group surrounded itself with recognized experts and cooks. The ambition of the big house is to "transmit [its] know-how to young and not so young people wishing to have a role to play in French gastronomy".

To do this, the Fauchon school will issue several diplomas, from CAP to Master, in different specialties such as cuisine, caterer, service, bakery or pastry. The first promotion of gastronomical apprentices is expected for July 2021.
