The debate program Sweden meets has premiered on Wednesday and would originally be broadcast from Kronogården in Trollhättan. But the municipality recently changed its decision and moved the site to the Cultural School in central Trollhättan. Something that is justified by the fact that the broadcast is a risk from a "democracy and citizen's point of view" and that it would further stigmatize Kronogården.

One of the invited debaters to the debate is the journalist and opinion maker Joakim Lamotte, who in December made a prominent live broadcast from Kronogården, where he was subjected to both physical and verbal attacks. When he was told that the debate had been moved, he announced via social media that he was going there anyway.

“Yesterday I wrote that I will return to Kronogården on Wednesday, and I always keep my promises. The municipality may be able to stop SVT from reporting, but they will not be able to stop me, ”he writes.

The debate program's project manager, Jorun Collin, expresses an understanding that Lamotte wants to go to Kronogården.

- My concern is that he will not have time for our shipment. At least, the schedule looks tight, but he has promised us to catch up, she says.

The police have an increased presence

The information that Lamotte will be sending from Kronogården on Wednesday has reached the police.

- We have a police operation in connection with this. We will have an oversight and effort to ensure this. So this is what we have planned for tomorrow, ”says Thomas Fuxborg, spokesperson for the police in the West region.

Is it against the background of what happened most recently to Joakim Lamotte in Kronogården?

- It's done. It created concern then, so of course we have it with us.

- We hope we can ensure the safety of the place.

Nyamko Sabuni, party leader of the Liberals, will also be in Kronogården on Wednesday.

SVT News West is looking for the City of Trollhättan and Joakim Lamotte for a comment.
