Corona .. infections in four Arab countries and fears of the virus spread in Italy

Four Arab countries recorded new Coronavirus infections, with Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and Kuwait announcing new cases, while the number of deaths due to the virus in Italy rose to seven, with 220 recorded, mostly in the north of the country.

This comes at a time when the World Health Organization said it is too early to announce a global pandemic due to the virus, but it has not ruled out becoming a pandemic.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced the registration of two new cases of Coronavirus, which raises the number of infections to five, noting that the two patients came to Kuwait on a flight from Tehran and Qom.

On Monday, Kuwaiti Health announced that there are 3 cases bearing confirmed results of their injuries in Corona, one for Kuwait, the second for Saudi Arabia, and the third for Bidun (without citizenship).

To limit the spread of the virus, the Kuwaiti Cabinet decided to cancel the popular activities for the national holidays that occur on Tuesday and Wednesday until further notice, in a precautionary measure against the Corona virus.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Football Association decided to stop the matches for two weeks.

Injuries and procedures
In Bahrain, it was announced yesterday evening that it had registered the second case of the Corona virus. According to the official Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of a new case of coronavirus after diagnosing the case of a Bahraini national coming from Iran via Dubai via Bahrain International Airport.

She said that she was examined upon arrival in the country and made all necessary analyzes while in the hall designated for this purpose at the airport, which confirmed her infection with the virus.

According to a previous statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Health announced the registration of the first confirmed case of coronavirus to a citizen coming from Iran.

For its part, the Civil Aviation Affairs Authority announced the suspension of all flights coming from Dubai International Airport and Sharjah International Airport for 48 hours amid fears of the spread of Corona virus.

In the Sultanate of Oman, Health Minister Ahmed Al-Saeedi said that a quarantine has been imposed on more than 250 people who came from countries affected by the Coronavirus. Al-Saeedi added, in an interview with Omani TV, that only two cases originating from Iran have been monitored so far.

The Iraqi authorities in the city of Najaf, south of Baghdad, announced yesterday the first infection with the Corona virus, an Iranian citizen who entered the country before the decision to prevent entry of Iranian citizens three days ago.

Mortality and isolation
In Europe, Italy became the country most affected by the virus, with seven deaths and more than 220 infected, including 167 cases in Lombardy. The stone was imposed two weeks on 11 cities in the north of the country.

In China, 71 new deaths were reported as a result of coronavirus infection, the lowest daily rate in nearly two weeks.

This figure brings the total number of deaths at the national level to 2663. The Chinese Health Commission has announced the registration of 508 new infections.

In South Korea, the authorities announced the death of an elderly person, raising the recorded deaths from the virus to eight. It also announced the registration of 60 new injuries, bringing the total number of injuries to 893.

Warnings and recommendations
Washington has warned its nationals against traveling to South Korea, and said the number of HIV-positive people in the United States has risen to 53.

For his part, the White House said that the administration of US President Donald Trump will ask Congress for a budget of 2.5 billion dollars to fight the Corona virus, noting that more than one billion dollars will be allocated to develop an anti-virus vaccine.

In a related context, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, called on countries of the world to prevent the escalation of the new epidemic of the Corona virus, to a crisis that has "enormous effects" on human health and the global economy.

Guterres, speaking to reporters during a visit to the WHO Crisis Management Center, called for a full response to the organization's appeal to raise $ 675 million to fund the organization's comprehensive efforts to combat the disease for three months.
