If it were to be submitted to article 49-3 which allows adoption without a vote, the text of the pension reform should integrate the amendments brought by the LREM deputies, pleaded on Monday the group president Gilles Le Gendre.

"If 49-3 there must be, it must not be a 49-3 cleaver, stupid and mean, taking the original text as it is," he said on Radio Classique: "he must take into account all internal political dynamics, what the group is wearing as improvements. "

"What we want is that the text that will come out, whatever the procedure - normal procedure or procedure 49-3 - is enriched with all the enormous work that we have produced," he added.

This "means in particular that the group's amendments, which could not have been voted if we took 49-3 or which will be if we remain in the normal procedure, are incorporated into the text," he said. -He specifies.

The text submitted to 49-3 should also take into account "the dynamics of social negotiation in progress with the social partners".

"No one can say that we are cutting off the debate, that we are censoring ideas and negotiations," argued Gilles Le Gendre.

He also assured that the LREM group is not "not divided" on this subject: "the group would not want the pension debate to end with 49-3". But if "the Prime Minister were sooner or later to take this decision, the majority would support him".

Article 49 paragraph 3 of the Constitution allows the Prime Minister to engage the responsibility of the government before the National Assembly on a text of law. The bill is then considered to have been adopted without a vote, except a motion of censure voted by the Assembly.

In the hemicycle, where the text of the pension reform has been debated since February 17, no one wants to wear the hat of the use of this article: the majority accuse the left of the left of "taking it" by the obstruction, while La France insoumise affirms that the "walkers" "prepare" it by overplaying the "chaos".

A handful of LREM politicians from the left wing have said they do not "want" 49-3 to be considered the "only way out". And others cringe.
