It was on November 18 last year that a 22-year-old man was stabbed by the 24-year-old on Nygatan in Linköping. The 22-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen and suffered a liver injury.

The background to the incident should be a drug store where a 24-year-old would buy hash for the 22-year-old. But instead of hash, the man got chocolate in an envelope. The 24-year-old should then have been upset and stabbed the 22-year-old.

The prosecutor classified the crime as an attempted murder, but the district court made another judgment:

"It has thus not been shown that XXX XXX had intended to kill. However, he has shown special ruthlessness and cruelty by chopping XXX XXX in the stomach with a knife in the way that has happened and must have deliberate to the mortality of the deed. He must therefore be convicted of gross abuse. "

The 24-year-old will pay SEK 50 440 in damages to the 22-year-old. He is also convicted of assault, minor drug offenses, illegal threats and theft.
