The capital advisor who advised Linnea Johnsson in Kungsbacka to invest in credit certificates where she can lose the entire sum acted as a representative for the finance company Exceed capital.

The company has been issued a warning for this advice from the industry's own "court" InsureSec's Discipline for Insurance Distribution.

SVT Nyheter has been in contact with the company several times, but the company does not arrange for a TV interview.

However, they comment on the case in email.

The main setting is they think the warning is incorrect.

Tones down the risks

According to experts with whom SVT talked, Linnea may lose the entire amount on credit certificates. The Disciplinary Board finds that the counseling is unsuitable for a customer like Linnea.

But Exceed capital fades down the risks with the investment and writes:

“The risk in a completed investment corresponds to the risk in a traditional Swedish fund. We can also note that the risk is in line with the risk that the client wishes according to the advice documentation ”.

Customer's signature

The InsureSec Disciplinary Board believes that the documentation from the counseling does not show that Linnea had the high knowledge and experience required to understand the risks associated with the placement.

The company believes that it is the customer's responsibility to provide the correct information:

“In this context, it is important to be aware that it is only the customer who can provide information about loans, income, target image, risk appetite etc. It is this information that forms the basis of the advice. Finally, the customer receives the documentation and approves through his signature. "

Has yielded

The company also stated that Linnea Johnsson has so far received a regular return of 14.3 percent.

"There is no harm to the customer," the company writes to SVT News.

The adviser who was at Linnea's home is no longer hired as a representative for Exceed capital. According to the national accounts, he has emigrated and no longer seems to be working as a capital adviser in Sweden.
