It is noted that the American leader was informed of the intention to evacuate only those who were not infected with coronavirus, to which the president gave his consent.

However, later in the evacuation process, it turned out that 14 Americans were infected. However, the State Department decided to deliver them to the United States without notifying Trump.

It is clarified that in this way officials also disobeyed the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the US Government (CDC), which warned that the spread of coronavirus could result from such actions.

According to one of the White House representatives, the decision not to inform the president was a “big mistake”. At the same time, the publication describes Trump's reaction as "angry."

As previously reported by the media, on Monday, February 17, US authorities completed the evacuation of Americans from the Diamond Princess liner in Japan.

According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense, 340 people were transported from the ship to Tokyo Airport for evacuation.

It was noted that upon arrival in the United States they were quarantined for 14 days.
