"We are concerned about the municipality's savings in the administrations and especially in the social administration," says Maria Westlund, chief safety officer of the Saco Council in Hörby.

The Social Administration has received a saving of SEK 25 million for 2020. According to the unions, this corresponds to 35 services.

"All preventive work will largely disappear," says Emma Hartell, chair of the Academic Association SSR in Hörby.

She works within the social administration herself and says that the savings will hit both the residents and the employees.

Dismantling of the municipality

SVT News has previously told that 26 senior officials have left the municipality since the 2018 election. The social manager in Hörby, Eva Klang Vänerklint, will be the last in the old management group to leave the municipality.

- I see how an entire municipality is being dismantled, says Eva Klang Vänerklint.

Municipal council Cecilia Bladh in Zito says she does not think it is strange that administrative managers leave Hörby because the new management has announced that it will make an organizational change which means that several administrations will disappear.

Three trade unions; Saco, SSR and Vision, have made a joint notification to the Swedish Work Environment Authority because they believe that employees at the municipal management administration have been harassed and defamed.

- You get hurt and criticized for your work, says Maria Westlund.

The working environment is reviewed

The municipality's HR manager Paul Eklund says that the occupational health services will review the work environment in the municipal building. He points out that there has been no report of harassment.

Five of the 26 officials who stopped were bought for more than SEK 3 million. Prior to Monday night's delegation meeting, the Liberals have requested a clear account of how the procurement of the consultants working within Hörby municipality has been completed. Both in terms of finance, skills and references from previous assignments.
