Balbek noted that Trump’s statement is “good to hear.”

“I want to believe that the position of the American president will not be subjected to harsh criticism in the Western world, but they will listen carefully and give our two countries the opportunity to set up a warming process without outside interference,” the parliamentarian said.

The deputy also added that Russia did not quarrel with Ukraine.

“We did not insult its people and culture, we always said that our countries are fraternal,” he explained.

Balbek expressed a desire for Kiev to “tear down the brick” between our countries.

Trump said earlier that he wants Russia and Ukraine to make peace.

The American leader emphasized that "it would be wonderful for the whole world."
