His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, witnessed the launch of the "Optional Furniture" initiative implemented by the two youth councils of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program and the Ministry of Infrastructure Development in the Al-Montazi Residential District in the Mohammed bin Zayed District in the Emirate of Ajman.
His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Municipality and Planning in Ajman, said, “This initiative comes to translate our leadership’s eagerness to delight citizens, and from the vision of the future emirate in the field of energy, environment, smart systems and innovation, and the keen interest in achieving housing stability, and providing the elements of a decent life, well-being and happiness. He added, “The Emirate of Ajman is going according to an ambitious plan that revolves around achieving the highest levels of living welfare and providing innovative and smart services that meet the needs of citizens and exceed their aspirations through implementing sustainable housing projects. This developed initiative provides solutions to the many challenges and difficulties facing most owners in building their homes, and seeks To achieve the maximum benefit from the housing assistance that they receive, to suit the needs of citizenship families in accordance with the highest sustainable environmental standards. ”
The Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, Dr. Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al-Nuaimi, confirmed that the “My Furniture Optional” initiative comes within the framework of the leadership’s directions towards happiness of citizens and improving the quality of life that the national agenda focused on and achieving the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071 and making The UAE is one of the best countries in the world by 2021.
He said, "The initiative will facilitate the beneficiaries of the housing projects of residential neighborhoods implemented by the program by meeting the needs of the citizenship family and achieving housing stability immediately after receiving the housing at the earliest possible time and at the lowest cost that exceeds the aspirations of citizens in the housing of a lifetime."
Al-Nuaimi appreciated the role of youth councils in each of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and the program, noting that this initiative was designed and studied its procedures and supervising its implementation with the efforts of youth and their energies, stressing that the service of furnishing citizens' housing in residential neighborhood projects will be available through the innovative smart services on the program's website. Or applying the “optional furniture” service, which will be accessible to beneficiaries at the end of the second quarter of this year.
The Minister of Infrastructure Development praised the role of the private sector, where a group of furniture and interior design companies joined the initiative to ensure the success of this societal initiative, and these companies were chosen according to the most recent requirements in a way that suits all age groups in society. The President also invited private sector institutions in this field To join and enhance their social responsibility towards leading national initiatives that achieve quality of life.
