Pompeo met with the new Sultan of Oman

“Secretary of State Pompeo expressed his deep condolences on the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos,” the department said.

Pompeo "noted that the United States will continue to have close partnerships with Oman."

Also, the head of the State Department "conveyed President Trump's invitation to the Sultan to visit the White House, and the Sultan agreed."

Earlier it was reported that Pompeo met with King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdel-Aziz and with Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
