Older acrobats lift women's work through the ages

Rebecka Nord is behind the idea for the show.

"That's when I was genealogy with my grandmother, then I realized that there were many strong women in my family," she says.

The genealogy led to a circus performance which now has its premiere at Landskrona theater. It takes root in women's work and their bearing through the ages.

- Women have been carrying vegetables, potatoes. They have carried children in the stomach - and outside the stomach. Women may have been very psychic, says Rebecka Nord.

The six acrobats are women between 35 and 42 years.

- Circus in Sweden has not been around for so long, so you can say that they are the first generation to grow a little older, says Åsa Johannisson.

Rebecka Nord thinks it is important that acrobats are just experienced - in both life and the profession.

- I think we have our own experiences of life - and it will be seen on stage, says Rebecka Nord.
