It was at the beginning of July last year that the Customs investigator saw how the 31-year-old man handed over suspected drugs for payment. The next day, the Customs Administration got into the man's car.

And there were found almost 1.1 kilos of cocaine, which is estimated to have a street value of over SEK 980,000.

Customs officials exchanged the cocaine for flour and then proceeded to search him. The following day, after a brief escape attempt, he was arrested near Malmö.

Found large sums of money in his apartment

When the Customs conducted a house search in the man's apartment, they also found a large amount of cash. This amounts to almost SEK 295,000 and just over EUR 75,000, corresponding to approximately SEK 795,000.

It is money that the prosecutor wants to seize from the man because she thinks they come from criminal activities.

An encrypted mobile phone was also found, which is often used in criminal circles.

Prosecutor: often organization behind

In interrogation, the man has denied the charges and stated that he was forced into a drug delivery. But the prosecutor says he rather sold and transported drugs and was part of a larger-scale activity.

But some other suspects are not included in the investigation.

- When it comes to such quantities as in this case, it is often not a lone person but an organization behind it. But only this man is prosecuted, says Prosecutor Lena Körner at the National Prosecutor's Department.

She does not want to go into what punishment she will face, but the penalties are between two and seven years.
