It is noted that an aircraft such as the Beechcraft BE20 Super King Air disappeared from radars when trying to return to Abilene airport due to a malfunction with electrical equipment.
The destroyed parts of the aircraft were discovered west of Lake Colman. As a result of the accident, three people on board died.
