“Today, indeed, the load on labor is prohibitive. I understand that very well, ”the minister said.

According to him, currently the employer pays insurance premiums for the employee at a rate of 30% of the salary.

As noted, 22% goes to pension contributions to the Pension Fund, 5.1% to compulsory health insurance at the MHIF, 2.9% to social insurance at the FSS.

Siluanov pointed out that the labor tax in Russia is higher than capital taxes, and to the 30% paid by the employer, 13% of the personal income tax, which is withheld from the employee’s salary, is added.

He stressed that the government is studying how to reduce the tax burden on labor, but the main thing is to find sources of compensation for extrabudgetary funds.

Earlier, the media, citing officials, wrote that the government resumed discussions on reducing insurance premiums for employers.
