He noted that "the outbreak is not able to shake the solid foundations of China's sustainable development in the long run."
“We will strive to minimize the consequences of the epidemic and to achieve the goals of economic and social development,” the President of China added.
Earlier, Xi Jinping said that on January 7 at a meeting of the Standing Committee, the Politburo gave orders to take measures to prevent and combat the new coronavirus.
