Two shootings in Hanau, near Frankfurt in Germany, left at least nine people dead Wednesday evening. These shootings would have targeted shisha bars.

The German anti-terrorism prosecutor's office seized Thursday morning of the investigation into the shootings that left nine dead Wednesday evening near Frankfurt and suspects a "xenophobic motivation" for the act, a spokesman for the AFP.

According to sources close to the investigation, a letter of confession and a video were found, while the police announced around 6:00 local time to have found dead "the probable perpetrator" of the crime in an apartment, alongside another deceased person.
