Arrive in Hong Kong on a charter aircraft with citizens disembarking from a cruise ship February 20 11:50

A Hong Kong citizen, who was disembarked from Diamond Princess, a cruise ship confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, arrived in Hong Kong on a charter aircraft on the morning of 20th. In the future, they will be quarantined at the designated facility and will be monitored for another two weeks.

The charter aircraft arranged by the Hong Kong government arrived at a Hong Kong airport on the 20th, just past 9:30 am Japan time.

According to the Hong Kong government, the charter aircraft is carrying 106 Hong Kong citizens who have been disembarked from the Diamond Princess and have been confirmed free of the new coronavirus.

The 106 people are to be tested again for virus infection at government-designated facilities and to be monitored in isolation for two weeks.

According to the Hong Kong government, more than 350 Hong Kong citizens, including foreign nationals, are on board the Diamond Princess, of which 55 have been confirmed to have been infected so far. As soon as the remaining citizens can disembark, they are preparing to return to Hong Kong on the next charter aircraft.
