The investigation is progressing, but has still not made it possible to identify the victim. Saturday morning, a lifeless body was found in the Vilaine, near the Cicé lock, in Bruz (Ille-et-Vilaine). It was kayakers who were sailing on the river who alerted the gendarmes.

Three days after the discovery of the body, the public prosecutor Philippe Astruc said that the autopsy had not identified the victim. "Forensic operations at this stage made it possible to determine that it was a woman over 50 years of age, notably wearing a burgundy sweater". According to the investigators, the victim had obviously undergone a surgical intervention and presented a prosthesis on the second lumbar vertebra.

The homicide track is not privileged

Investigations are continuing to try to identify the person. The Mordelles gendarmerie brigade is responsible for the investigation.

The Rennes prosecutor's office specifies "that a death linked to an external intervention is not at this privileged stage".
