Since the two military vehicles disappeared, and were found in Tillberga outside Västerås and in Möklinta north of Sala, the police have received tips from all over the country.

- Everyone is not viable, but we count ten tips as interesting and we are working on them now, says Jonas Rickeborn.

The police have tracked down the location from which the vehicles were stolen and specially trained so-called criminal search dogs have been used. The dogs specialize in finding traces of people who are not visible to the naked eye.

- It is a measure that we are trying to use more and more. We have used criminal search dogs at the Möklinta discovery site.

A serious crime

At present, there is no indication that the theft was carried out with the aim of bringing the vehicles out of the country.

But stealing vehicles from the defense force is a serious crime, says Jonas Rickeborn.

- I wouldn't call this a boy dash. These are vehicles worth more than SEK 2 million, and they have been stolen from a military area.

The police have no suspects at this time. The crime classification is gross theft.
