Christophe Castaner's little phrase did not go unnoticed. Wednesday morning, invited on France Inter, the Minister of the Interior attacked the first secretary of the Socialist Party on his private life: "I was surprised to hear at your microphone Olivier Faure, whom I know well, and whom I have accompanied him in his separations and in his divorces. I was amazed at his moral lessons. "

. @ CCastaner: "Politicians must remain women and men or they cut themselves off from reality. I was surprised to hear from your micro @faureolivier, whom I know well and whom I have accompanied in his divorces. I was amazed at his moral lessons "# le79Inter pic.twitter.com/HjdFNdlrJp

Christophe Castaner has obviously taken the lukewarm support of the leader of the socialist party to Benjamin Griveaux. Former Minister LREM had to leave the race for mayor of Paris last Friday because of the release of videos of a sexual nature implicating him. The turmoil was generally unanimous in the political class, but some, like Olivier Faure, all the same pinned Benjamin Griveaux for his behavior considered "irresponsible". It was Monday morning, already on France Inter.

Minister criticized

Since this morning, critics have been raining on the Minister of the Interior, accused of using the private life of an adversary while the current debate is about the private life of political figures. This is the case of Patrick Kanner, president of the Socialist group in the Senate and former minister. Or Bruno Retailleau, his counterpart from the group Les Républicains.

Amateur as a minister? But shabby attack professional. These words dishonor their author and put him on the level of those he claims to fight in this pathetic affair. https://t.co/UKKZXbaMJ9

. @faureolivier recalled an obvious fact: Benjamin Griveaux lacked prudence and committed a fault. By attacking Olivier Faure on his private life, Christophe Castaner demonstrates the baseness of which this power is capable which degrades the political climate every day https://t.co/Pdc22mKORw

Christophe Castaner does indeed know Olivier Faure well. The two have long been elected members of the Socialist Party. The first one left to join the En Marche adventure! very early, in 2016, the second stayed at the PS and even took the lead after the party's electoral debacles in 2017.
