Carina previously lived in a caravan after being evicted from her accommodation. She first got an apartment in Fredriksberg but thought it was too messy there. Now she lives in the village of Blötberget outside Ludvika.

- Poorly handled everything. Not even a lamp in the stairs here so you can get in, she says when Assignment Review visits her.

She has lived here for over a year. In the kitchen, a faint jet of water flows as she puts on the tap.

"Stand and pay 5600 and not have cold water running in the kitchen even, have to go to the toilet to get cold water," she says.

Do you get any help from the social? Are they paying the rent?

- Yes, and apparently only those who are allowed to live here.

"If any problem arises we will solve it"

During the refugee reception, the property owner Hilldex AB wanted to rent to the Migration Board, but failed to meet the requirements and the agreement was terminated before any refugees could move in. Instead, other tenants moved in - such as Carina.

- On toa there has been no heat at all. So we've run with a construction fan. You have no desire to shower in there right away, she says.

The municipality's environmental inspectors have been at the properties and pointed out shortcomings a number of times. But the property owner does not agree that the houses are poorly maintained.

- These are not new properties, but if any problem arises, we solve it as far as we know it, says Tino Bessou, who represents Hilldex AB.
