Palm's murder is the largest criminal investigation in Swedish history. According to the prosecutor, the investigation is expected to be completed by the middle of this year. Before that, the case will be brought to court.
- My goal is to introduce it during the first half of 2020. I'm optimistic. We have worked hard and we have traces we strongly believe in, Pettersson said.
Walking home from the movie theater with his wife, Palme was killed in a shooting on February 28, 1986 in central Stockholm. To date, the murderer or the motive for the act has not been discovered, although there have been many theories and suspects over the years.
